We met Sarah and Blaise as guests at their friend’s wedding a few years back that we had the honour of photographing in Tofino, BC. We sat at the same table as them at dinner and the rest is history! As kids these two participated in camps at The Cheakamus Centre so it was a perfect pick as their venue. One thing we love about their group of friends, is how close and intentional they are in their friendships. This wedding perfectly brought together their love of the outdoors with the good times of a weekend away with their loved ones.

Cheakamus Centre is located in the outdoor recreation capital of Canada in Squamish, BC. The venue is a beautiful modern building nestled in the trees taking it’s inspiration from the first nation peoples land it sits on. With an intimate outdoor ceremony in the woods, long table dinner, custom shot-ski and a live band to keep the party going, this was a wedding we won’t forget.

Their speeches were our favourite part of the day hands down! It was the genuine friendships, love, vulnerability, joy and tears that gave us a glimpse into their lives and how they truly care for everyone in the room.
